Welcome back HB, M.Ed.

Hi! I’m back.

If we’ve met before, you might know that my career at CrossTrainer has had its share of stops and starts. I like to think that Brian has been able to work so hard for clients because of the work I’ve done at home with our two young daughters over the last six years. In the past I’ve attended a few conferences, helped out with client service sporadically, but the girls’ needs have always come first. Working moms are my superheroes.

It hit me a few years ago that the girls would eventually be attending school full-time and I started thinking long and hard about how I could best contribute to the family business. My educational background includes a BS in Organizational Communication from Providence College, and a graduate certificate in Adult and Organizational Learning. Professionally, I’ve always been in some form of consultative sales, including five years working with adult learners in an admissions role.

Well, it’s been a busy few weeks at the Boyle household! Earlier this month, I graduated from Northeastern University with an M.Ed. in eLearning and Instructional Design. Our youngest daughter Hadley started kindergarten, and our oldest, Bliss, began first grade. As a part of my final graduate coursework, I had to articulate what my professional mission will be moving forward. Here it is: to empower adult learners at an organizational level by utilizing my understanding of ID methodologies, adult learning principles, and training modalities for becoming a trusted partner to Cross Trainer’s clients when building and implementing a complete vision for their learning goals. It’s a mouthful, but provides a snapshot of where you’ll see me fit in at CrossTrainer and I’m so excited to be back. To learn more about me, you can visit the graduate portfolio website I created. I hope we’ll have the chance to work together!
